Medical

Youth participants in Medical/ Health Careers Explorers have the opportunity to work with people from all aspects of the health field. They often work with medical doctors, nurses, dentists, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, veterinarians, etc. They might participate in x-ray reviews and oral health exams and review equipment and procedures used to care for patients. Medical Explorers is a hands-on, action based program that gives youth the opportunity to explore different areas of the medical field.

“Very extensive new experiences within medical field have helped me to decide on what kind of majors I may find interesting and relevant in college. Also, it was generally just very cool to listen to each of the guest speakers and learn about their own disciplines and why they were so passionate and drawn to them.” -Charles

“It’s really gotten me much more interested and passionate in pursuing a career in medicine.” -Anonymous
